libarchive-tar-wrapper-perl software package provides API wrapper around the tar utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libarchive-tar-wrapper-perl
libarchive-tar-wrapper-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libarchive-tar-wrapper-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libarchive-tar-wrapper-perl *
